On January 30, the Data Sharing Coalition has officially started at the Muntgebouw in Utrecht. This initiative originates from a research conducted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy in 2018. The Ministry has invited the market to organise itself and write a plan of action based on this research. The Data Sharing Coalition started as a direct result of this.
The realisation of cross-sectoral use cases requires better interoperability between existing – often sector specific – data sharing initiatives. This requires generic agreements on topics such as technical standards, data semantics, legal agreements, and trustworthy and reusable digital identities. These generic agreements will be established in the harmonisation canvas of the Data Sharing Coalition.
Who is participating in the Coalition?
The current 18 participating parties in the coalition are: Equinix, FOCWA, GoFAIR Foundation, HDN, IDSA, iSHARE, KPN, MedMij, Netbeheer Nederland, NL AI Coalitie, SBR Nexus, SURF, Sustainable Rescue, Techniek Nederland, Thuiswinkel.org, UvA, Verbond van Verzekeraars, and Visma Connect.
The Coalition is an open and growing initiative. Interested parties are welcome to register for participation at info@datasharingcoalition.eu
